How Do I Keep My Lipstick On?

How Do I Keep My Lipstick On?

Putting lipstick on looking damn fine.. Get to the party and half of it has already rubbed off. I think we can all relate to this.  So, is there a secret hack to keep my lippy looking fine? Certainly is!

Here are some simple steps to follow when applying your lippy for longer!
  1. Lightly scrub away the top surface of your lips with a damp toothbrush or dry towel this will get rid of all the excess dry skin.
  2. Use a light lip moisturiser on the lips to moisturise the fresh skin. I have a great vitamin C cream I use. Comment for details!
  3. Use a tissue to blot away and excess moisturizer.
  4. With a small lip brush, gently wipe you concealor onto your lips. I prefer a cream concealour over liquid as it wont change the texture of the lips.
  5. Use your lip liner to create a color base on the lips.
  6. Use a sharpened, neutral lip liner around the edge of the lips. Blend it softly in or you won't be left with any definition once you apply your lipstick.
  7. Apply lipstick to the back of your hand, then apply to your lips with a brush.
  8. Blend a thick layer of lipstick into the lips and pencil line.
  9. Open mouth slightly to apply lipstick into inner corners.
  10. Place a thin layer of tissue over the lips and apply loose or pressed powder through the tissue to set the lipstick in place. The tissue gives a finer coverage of powder going through to the lips so that you aren't removing the lip color -- you're just matting it down and setting it in place.
  11. Apply a final layer of lipstick to give a long lasting glossy finish.
  12. Ta-Da!
